Create products in Shopify with AI drafts

Creating a product shouldn’t mean scavenging specs, writing copy from scratch, and uploading assets one by one. OmniGraph can draft the product for you using information from the web, your images, and your files — and only pushes to Shopify when you’re ready.

Before you start

  • You’ve connected your Shopify store to OmniGraph.

  • You know the Product name (this is the only required input).

  • (Optional) You have useful inputs on hand: a brand PDF/spec sheet, images, or a URL/model name to search.

Step-by-step

  1. Start a new AI draft
Go to Products in OmniGraph and click Generate new AI product draft. An input panel opens.

  2. Provide the basics

    • Product name (required) — e.g., “Nike Inflict 4”.

    • Description (optional) — paste any context you already have.

  3. Choose your data sources

    • Online search — toggle Use online search to let OmniGraph find publicly available information about the product/model.

    • Images — upload one or more product images. Mark the primary image. OmniGraph analyzes images to extract attributes and details for the draft.

    • Files — upload or select an existing file (PDF, doc, etc.). You can preview the file to confirm it matches the product.

  4. Generate the AI draft
Click Generate. OmniGraph creates a draft inside OmniGraphnothing is written to Shopify yet. Within a few seconds you’ll see content appear.

  5. Review what OmniGraph generated

    • Product description — combined from your selected sources.

    • Translations — automatic copies for your enabled languages (e.g., Danish, Swedish, German).

    • Search & Listing content — titles/snippets optimized for discovery and collection views.

  6. Tweak anything you want
Edit copy, adjust images, or re-run generation with different inputs if needed.

  7. Create the Shopify product
When it looks right, set your price/cost as needed and click Create in Shopify. OmniGraph applies the recommendations and publishes the product to your Shopify admin. You can immediately confirm it in Shopify.

What gets used — and how

  • Web: If enabled, OmniGraph searches for trustworthy, product-relevant context to enrich attributes and descriptions.

  • Images: Vision analysis extracts model names, materials, colors, and other visible details.

  • Files: Specs and feature bullets from brand PDFs/docs are parsed and woven into the description.

Tip: Better inputs → better drafts. If you have an official spec sheet and clean images, include them.

FAQs

Does generating a draft change anything in Shopify?
No. Drafts live in OmniGraph until you click Create in Shopify.

Can I regenerate parts of the content?
Yes. You can adjust inputs and re-run to refine the draft before publishing.

What about translations?
They’re created automatically for your enabled languages. You can review/edit them before publishing.
