Create collections in Shopify with AI drafts (Collection Agent)

How to build high‑quality Shopify collections with OmniGraph — titles, SEO, image, and product picks included

Collections shouldn’t take hours of manual curation. OmniGraph’s Collection Agent drafts the whole package for you — collection title, handle, description, SEO, recommended products, and an optional generated image — then pushes to Shopify when you’re ready.

Before you start

  • You’ve connected your Shopify store to OmniGraph.

  • (Optional) Have a short idea for the collection (e.g., Snowboard Collection) and a few keywords.

Step‑by‑step

  1. Open Collections
Go to the Collections tab in OmniGraph. You’ll see any collections created with OmniGraph so far.

  2. Start a new AI draft
Click Generate new AI collection draft. This prepares a draft inside OmniGraphnothing is created in Shopify yet.

  3. Set generation inputs

    • Output language — defaults to your shop’s language.

    • Collection description — 1–3 sentences is enough; more context improves results.

    • Keywords — add terms like snowboard, winter sports. OmniGraph runs keyword research before writing.

    • Recommended products — the agent proposes products for the collection. Use the selectors/filters to narrow what it should look for.

    • Collection image (optional) — let AI generate an image for the collection. You’ll see it render progressively.

    • Reference products (optional) — add 1–3 products that are typical for this collection to guide the draft.

  4. Generate
Click Generate collection. The agent compiles everything; this can take a couple of minutes depending on inputs and image generation.

  5. Review the draft
    When ready, you’ll see:

    • Title and handle for the collection.

    • Collection description based on your inputs and research.

    • SEO listing (search title & meta).

    • Recommended products discovered via your filters, including items that may not yet have images.

    • Collection image (if enabled), which refines as it renders.

  6. Tweak as needed
Adjust copy, keywords, filters, and product picks. You can re‑run generation to refine any part before publishing.

  7. Create the collection in Shopify
When everything looks good, click Create Collection in Shopify. In a few seconds, the collection appears in your Shopify admin with the title, handle, description, SEO, image (if generated), and product assignments.

Tips for great results

  • Short, specific descriptions + 3–6 keywords yield the best SEO and product picks.

  • Provide reference products when the theme is broad (e.g., “Winter sports”).

  • Use filters to exclude off‑theme products before generating.

FAQs

Does generating a draft modify Shopify?
No. Drafts stay in OmniGraph until you click Create Collection in Shopify.

Can I regenerate parts of the draft?
Yes. Edit inputs or filters and re‑generate.

What if some recommended products lack images?
That’s normal during discovery; you can keep or remove them before publishing.
